What is a WOMAN?
by Shevie Ace Espinosa

People often define the word “Woman” as a female who is matured, disciplined, a role model, and perfect to the eyes of all, these are what they say a woman should be. But as the world transforms, this doesn’t refer to a gender anymore. You don’t have to be anti-man to be pro-woman. There are so many definitions that can be associated to be called a “Woman”. Women doesn’t agree to what they said we should be and how things should go. They said we should be a good girl, a pretty house wife, remove all hair from our body and should not dare let them see us break. All these expectations, holding ourselves up to a standard that is not even real. A woman is the one that says, “I want to do it because I want to do it”. A woman is a person who is willing to do things as men have tried and surely is capable of doing things men have done.

A woman is like Amelia Earhart, the first aviator that flew across the Pacific Ocean from Hawaii to California even when she was noted to stand down because 10 others had died trying crossing the route. The woman who crossed over their limitations.

A woman is like Malala Yousafzai, who published a blog about the life under the local Taliban and wrote about her desire to get an education. She is a woman whose school were being shuttered and bombed for the reason that it is for the girls. She is the woman shot in the face, three times, survived and thrived as an author, activist, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and role model for anyone who wants to make the world a better place. She raised her voice on behalf of others. “Let us pick up our books and pens. They are our powerful weapons”. -Malala Yousafzai

A woman is like Greta Thunberg, a 15-year-old who staged a school strike in front of the Swedish Parliament to protest government inaction on climate change. A woman who had the largest climate demonstration in history with an estimated of 4 Million people had joined. “We are the ones right now who are leading the way”. -Greta Thunberg

A woman is like Beyonce Knowles-Carter, who uses her talent as an artist to make music to empower women. With albums that had sick beats and signature girl power anthems.

A woman is like Michelle Obama, who became the first black woman who stepped into the role of First Lady. She focused on social issues like education and healthy living especially the future of children. A woman who influenced many that through kindness, diligence, intelligence and honesty, we can effectively change the world

Women differs from each other. There are no two that are the same. Women just empower other women and look up to others as an inspiration. The women are behind all the man’s success. Not so long ago, women are just taken for granted, hidden in houses, covered in chores and unappreciated. Now, we can see how far women fight for equality, and eventually became the ones that shaped the world. A world without the efforts of women is like a gun without the trigger, it just won’t work. A woman’s beauty and appearance are just a bonus to the nature of being a woman. Talented, brave, strong, bold, intelligent, creative, patient, kind and many more. The most important role of being a woman is being a home to every person.

A woman is God’s work of art. Women are the vessels of life.

"STEREOTYPING WHAT BEST SUITS FOR WOMEN"
by Rachel P. Muele

When men can , women does ! Stereotyping the negligence of being women when infact women can do anything . A totally , fair square ...

How ironic women can't stand within rights to be fair in society . Have you seen With your bare eyes ? Alot of men doin sexual assault to women . In fact, alot of women experience sexual harrassment to random guys out there as you noticed . and it is a very sad reality ... wake up! Empowering every women should stand up upon their rights and slap them with the power we had . It is a very sad and at the same time sounds pathetic as a woman , we're too fragile . I've witnessed a vlogs before like random guys doing bad stuff to Teenage girls and even to oldies men doesn't a picky when it comes to harrassment . Source in the Project Nightfall , You've seen a lot in the internet, girls doing a live streaming about herself just to make themselves safety incase there is an evidence if someone would do a sexual harrassment to them , caught in an act and seeing them even if they do the casual things they still had the guts to do so , how rude . It is not about what they wear , no matter what women would wear you don't have the right to touch them and women . Listen Up Women, stand up upon your rights , speak up ! don't be blind of what you saw , don't be deaf of what you heard and don't be fool of what you find out , Speak up ladies because you're loved and deserving .

When someone says, don't wear that it doesn't suits you , you're too skinny it doesn't fit at you , too petite,You're fat , too fragile come on! We're done stereotyping women , well better with ourself when infact women can do the most better version of themselves .Women yet fragile but terrible .

Wonder Women
by Joanne V. Saludar
The narrative of teaching us since long ago is always how big and bad the world is and we were taught to live our lives in our comfort zones. We were warned how cruel the world is outside our homes especially to women but little did we know that our country was saved with the help of those women who stood up for what's right and saved our country from Spanish invasion.
Past generations practices were all about the conservation or preservation of women, the works of women with limitations, the limited actions of women and even the dress code. We understand that society highly valued women to the point that women will live a life full of restrictions. We were raised to do the house chores instead of doing outdoor activities, only wear clothes that doesn't expose too much skin instead of choosing what we want that give us comfort and sometimes follow the dreams of others instead our own. But today's generation became the opposite of what we knew before and everyone change ways for the betterment. Women became empowered, we gained our voices again and society starting to hear and recognize our voices, we started to lead and gain trust in doing what we want to do. The praise women get weren't on comic or book characters anymore but in real life, a lot of women of now lead in many significant events and became the best version of themselves.
We are not just a women, we are incredible, we have the capability to give birth, to make milk, to bleed every month without dying and we can turn a house into home. We are fantastic because of our emotions although sensitive sometimes but we have a wider range of understanding than go over and easily react to something. We are wonder women for we can equal to men and we are already recognize not by the skirts we wear but by wearing pants that symbolizes we can be comfortable even if not in our comfort zones. We can do great things that equal to men. We are aiming for equality and equity. We are all wonderful in all shapes and sizes and regardless of our skin color. Therefore we are not just women, we are Wonder Women!

Woman: You are worth more than the finest silver and gold!
by Marilou A. Rasonable

The world may not see your worth, but let me remind you that you are worth more than the finest silver and gold. You are what God says you are and not how this world defines who you are. Don't let the standard of this world blinded you to see your worth.
Woman, you are beautiful! You're beautiful, though not as how this world defines beauty, knowing that you are made fearfully and wonderfully by the One who's Almighty. You are loved regardless of how unlovable you think you are. You are more precious than rubies. Thus, you are valued more than any thing in this world. Woman, you don't have to be desperate just to win someone's love who doesn't even know your worth. Neither, have to chase the feelings you have for someone who doesn't even know how to appreciate your existence. Remember, that you are worth to be respected and not to be discriminated. You are worth waiting for, praying for, fighting for and pursuing for. You are made for a great purpose and not to become a slave in this sinful world. God's purpose for your life is far better, greater and bigger than how other people defines your future. Don't settle for less than you deserve knowing that you deserve all the best in this world.
Sometimes we've tend to lose our sight to see our worth in Christ, because we are trying so hard to fit ourselves to the standard in this world. Woman, you are not to conform to this world's standard just to see your worth. You are who you are for a reason, therefore don't let the world defines your identity as a person. Remember that you are not put here on earth to please the crowd, but rather you are wired to do worthwhile things that pleases God.

Decide for Yourself
    by Solamor R. Amorsolo

Women are culturally known as fragile. We are defined as soft, weak, and flimsy, and we are treated unfairly because of these definitions. But that was the time before the word women empowerment comes up.

There are lots of great women activist or feminist who supports the right and also the unequal treatment of people towards women. One of them was the famous actress Emma Watson. At the age of eleven, Emma was known for her role as Hermione Granger in the movie series "Harry Potter" and recognized for her professional acting skills. Watson at the age of 26, was appointed as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. She was also involved in promoting girl's education in Bangladesh and Zambia and being an ambassador in an organization called CAMFED (Campaign for Female Education) in the rural areas of Africa for several years. During her speech at the HeForShe Campaign in 2014, she has mentioned that fighting for women's rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. I guess it is because we push too hard on attaining our rights of equality that caused them to come up with such a word. After all, it is not our want to experience this kind of prejudice, and for sure, women are not the only one who's agonizing in this issue but also men. Emma cited an example in her speech of men being unjustly treated. Which her father was valued less by society and a young man who is suffering from mental illness who was unable to ask for help because of fear it would make him less a man. See? Even men whom we know are strong also face inequality.

Emma Watson is empowering women to live with an equal right as men. That woman should be a more true and real version of themselves. Don't let someone control you, be the one to control yourself instead.

Gender Quality to Equality
by Zenda Cabael
How heavy exactly the importance of women in the society? As the leaders of society are mostly men, women has the right also to be one. Issues coming back and forth globally about gender leading forgetting that the key to a peaceful and successful society is a good relationship among gender. Though the world is full of powerful men to lead, we know for a fact that women sustain them, support and agree with them yet women still lack the rights and worst imprisoned to reality of being discriminated in both political and social life.
Considering the population of women, having more than half of this worldwilde is already a power yet they are powerless. Decisions in everything might not be successful without the participation of women, decision-making in home might not be achieved without women, even in picking leaders for politics women are present and active but they are hindered to achieve equality comparing to men where in fact that most successful persons are women. There is nothing that women cannot do. If men are powerful, then women has the same energy. Women are not thirsty to fight for their rights yet thirsty to attain equal opportunities that society is refusing to give.

How about the LGBTQ community? As we noticed, they play a part of a whole. They're proving their rights as humans and proving that they have the right to be here, so as women. Most people in this world focused more on how to achieve changes and development using their power yet they forgotten that respect to each and everyone plays a big role in achieving success to everything. To achieve progress is to forget gender issues and focus on where this society lacks for improvement. But how can we obtain development if the issues are coming from the ones who lead the society? That's why we need to make everybody understand that gender is not an issue to everything. That women can do everything without making them under-presented and low labeled. Everyone needs to know that we cannot weigh gender quality but we can maintain gender equality so everyone needs to know again that equal opportunities must be addressed and worth fighting for.

                            Delicately Rare

                                                        by: Novie Mae A. Jumag

Before, people see male and female differently. Men had a lot of opportunities in life such as education, business, leadership and many more. On the other hand, women are not allowed to do those things for they will only be owned by their husband and all those things that they've done will just be in vain. Instead, they are prepared to create another life and serve the man she married with. Most of the time, they are tied for life by people they don't even know for they are used as tokens or rewards by their families to those man who had done something that they think are great. These things create a lot of insecurities to women and make them think they aren't valuable than other things in the world. But in our generation we should change what we think about women.

Women are not things used to reward men for their achievements. You have the right to be chosen when we adore you. Women are not servant that serves men for things that they need. We do that because we care. Women are not your punching bag that you can release your frustrations whenever you're having a bad day. But we can comfort you and cheer you up. Women are not just a person who gave birth to continue your kind. Women are mothers that also owns the child that they born. Women are more precious than rubies you should give high value. Women can also do what men can. We may not have that same physical strength that men has, but we have wits to find solutions to come up of ways that could also do what you do; probably even better. There are a lot of great women in history that will prove it. Despite the taboo of education for women, it didn't stop Marie Curie to discover radioactivity and win a Nobel Prize for it. Who says bravery are only for soldiers who are willing to risk their lives for the country? Wait until you heard of Florence Nightingale who abandoned her luxurious life to be a nurse who tends the injured soldiers during the Crimean War. Because of her, the quality of care in war and went on to improve healthcare all over the world. And lastly, I myself is very proud of this woman for it changed my teenage life into something magical that inspires me to wake up everyday with hope and believes that there is magic in all of us. No other than the author of Harry Potter, Joanne Kathleen Rowling also known as (J.K. Rowling). She used her name initials on her books instead of her full name because people in her time finds work of women as lame and boring. But look at all her achievements now. She is the first woman author to be a billionaire. Getting her last book sold every 37 seconds around the world in just 24 hours.

To sum all, gender is not a basis of your success. It is your hardwork, persistence and passion in doing the things you love. Never let anyone tell you that just because you're a girl you won't succeed in your life because you are soft and emotional. Prove them wrong. There's a saying and I quote, a man can do great things but a woman can do what a man cannot.
